For the first time in the Dragon Ball
franchise, players are going to be able to make use of a character creation feature. In Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi
, Hero Mode will allow players to create their own Saiyan with which to enter battle. Body features, outfits, skills and super attacks can all be customised before players fly through the world and seek out their foes. The custom characters can be used both in the storyline campaign and online against other players, all while being able to gain experience.
Namco Bandai has released a trailer summarising the feature:
Those of you who can't view the trailer can have a look at some of the resulting screenshots instead. Unfortunately these don't do as good a job as the trailer at demonstrating the new mode.
The numerous options will allow for millions of different possible creations. In the first part of the detailed look at the feature, Namco Bandai demonstrates the seemingly limitless choices for name, hair style, costumes and voice type. Skin, hair and costume colours can all be adjusted to a fine degree too.
Part two is not yet available, but we'll post the video as soon as it is released.Dragon Ball Z: Ultimate Tenkaichi
is due to be released on October 25th in North America and October 28th in Europe.
