Hitman Absolution 'Run For Your Life' Teaser

Agent 47 has been in hiding for a long time. After Hitman: Blood Money was ported over to the 360 from the original Xbox, fans have been clamoring for a new set of targets for the bald assassin to take out. Finally, a fifth installment is on its way, as you well know if you've been following our coverage on it. Hitman: Absolution promises to feature both the most personal story for Agent 47 and the most innovative gameplay in the series to date.

Tomorrow, Io Interactive will release a full gameplay video titled "Run For Your Life", which will showcase the library sequence some people were fortunate enough to see earlier this year at different gaming festivals. To tease fans, today they have released this short trailer that reveals just enough to get you excited.

I'm sure the trailer will incite anger among some veteran fans of the series, as it does favor action over stealth. Though, I wouldn't judge it until we see the full video tomorrow. All previous Hitman games allow you to approach the game the way you want.

Absolution should be no different, as it will also feature a Hardcore Mode for those that think they are up to the task. Hakan Abran, one of Absolution's producers, stated to EuroGamer that the game will include a difficulty spike for gamers who wish to really challenge themselves with smarter tactics, stronger enemy AI, and a true commitment to the classic "Silent Assassin" playthrough so many of you are hoping for. He went on to say more news of the new game mode will be revealed in detail as we approach the game's release, but he capped it off by saying "It's more pacify your enemies, be undetected, maybe solve the challenges in a smarter way." He even mentioned that some of the game's achievements will be tied to playing the game in such a way.

Hitman: Absolution will creep out of the shadows in 2012.
