More Disney Universe Screens Arrive

By Michelle Balsan, 5 years ago
Up until now, most of what we've seen from Disney Interactive's upcoming Disney Universe has centered around characters and costumes. We've seen Aladdin, Pirates of the Caribbean, The Lion King, and Wall-E so far, and will likely see full reveals for the other two worlds, Alice In Wonderland and Monsters Inc., in the near future.

Today isn't about the character costumes and worlds, however, as Disney has instead revealed details as to the power-ups which will be used in the game. Power-ups come in two forms; ones that help, and ones that hinder. Helpful power-ups, which include things like boxing gloves and ray guns, are give to you by VIC, or 'Vital Information Cube', an AI helper that tags along with players.

On the other hand, negative power-ups, called curses, are doled out by Hex, who is the game's villain. These curses range from turning into a chicken to having your head become a time bomb. Fortunately, many of these curses can be passed to other players, so you may not be stuck with them long!

Disney has released shots of both the power-ups and hexes, as well as shots showing off how they appear in the game.
