Sonic Generations Launch Trailer

Sonic Generations Launch Trailer

Classic meets current

Written by N0T PENNYS B0AT on 01 November 11 at 02:26

While more recent iterations of the speedy hedgehog series have focused on 3D environments, you'd be hard pressed to find a fan of Sonic who doesn't miss the classic 2D speed-scrolling. That's why SEGA went back to its roots with Sonic Generations. Though they didn't want to alienate the minority of fans who do still enjoy the 3D segments, so Generations has both varieties to appease everyone. How very bi-partisan of them. Everything about the trailer screams nostalgia, especially the introductory "Seeegaaaa".

Here's the launch trailer for the game on the eve of its North American release:

As I stated, Sonic Generations is available tomorrow in North America and in Europe and Australia on November 4th.

I can't wait to play it. Should be getting it from gamefly in the next couple days. Very promising so far from what I played out of the demo.

Still not out here until the 4th, but I have Dragonball until then, which was higher up in my games I wanted this year list anyway.
Sonic and Dragonball are the only 2 games I wanted this year, so I have one, and this one is coming very soon, I can wait until Friday smile

Picked this up at midnight and I'm in love with this game, minor flaws and all. I love Sonic games and I'm glad I got this. Gamestop gave cool preorder bonuses also. I got a Super Sonic avatar suit, theme, and Casino Night pinball game. No regrets whatsoever. This game is truly for the fans and a celebration of Sonic, the good times and the bad times.

I went to a midnight lauch to pick this up, and after playing 3 hours straight all I can say is I'm extremely pleased with this game. The gameplay is tight, the levels beautiful, and the soundtrack simply stunning.

I would play more, but I do need some rest. If you have enjoyed Sonic games of either past or present, I highly suggest picking this up as it up.

There's nothing sighable with this game other than maybe the missions(You only have to do one per level and you get to pick. They aren't bad, but if you aren't into, say, having Amy help you then it is sighable). Overall I enjoyed it, and am having fun and am eagerly awaiting the PC release to play it again.
