Enigmo discounted for one week, while three others see price drops

Written by litepink on 16 November 11 at 23:41

This week's official WP7 Deal of the Week is the liquid puzzler Enigmo, which sees a one week price drop.

Enigmo (WP) - $2.99 - £2.29 $1.99 - £1.49

Enigmo is the most unique game that you'll find for the Windows Phone 7. It is a 3D puzzle game where you manipulate slides, bumpers, and other pieces to control streams of flowing liquid. Water, oil, and lava droplets fall from "droppers" and will bounce around the walls of a puzzle. You move and rotate the various puzzle pieces in order to divert the flow of the falling droplets so that they can reach their target. The faster you complete each level, the more bonus points you will receive! This week though, we're in for a treat. Three other games have received price drops as a part of an unspecified sale. I'm lead to believe that these aren't permanent drops, as no LIVE enabled titles have been dropped as low as Full House Poker on a permanent basis, so expect these sales to last one week as well. Among the the other titles on sale is Assassin's Creed, which was originally $6.99/£5.49, then later dropped down to $4.99/£3.99, and now gets cut once more for this current offer. Sonic 4: Episode I rounds out this surprise sale.

Full House Poker (WP) - $2.99 - £2.29 $1.99 - £1.49

Stack your chips, put on your poker face, and hit the table with Full House Poker, available anytime, anywhere on your Windows Phone 7.

Test your Texas Hold 'Em prowess in Standard Games and Tournaments against a variety of Full House Poker pros. Each pro has unique skills and weaknesses, so watch them closely and learn how to take them down. As you earn XP and level up, you'll unlock cool ways to customize your poker experience.

Reap the rewards of your poker play on both your Windows Phone 7 and your Xbox 360. Build up your bankroll on your phone, and you'll have that stack of chips waiting for you the next time you play Full House Poker on your Xbox 360. Level up on your Xbox 360, and get the respect you've earned the next time you play on your phone. Levels, XP, chips, stats, and unlockables are all shared across both devices.

It's Full House Poker on your Windows Phone 7. So let's deal the cards already!

Been thinking about Assassin's Creed and Sonic, but I'm never paying $7 for a mobile game. Maybe $5 for AC, probably not yet for Sonic

You don't want the Assassin's Creed phone game. It has the worst controls of pretty much any game out there.

OfficerBarbrady said:why was it changed from (WP7) to (WP)?Yay, they took my suggestion! (Admittedly from a while ago, so it probably had nothing to do with it).
Fact of the matter is the platform is known as the Windows Phone (even Microsoft referred to it in that way. We were the only site including the 7 at the end. Plus, now that the official version is 7.5, having just the 7 wasn't entirely correct.

Spot on with the renaming as well - WP is the right terminoloy - after Mango the phones are WP7.5 or something - and the next gen phones will be WP8 - so the underlying platform name should be WP.

Bought Enigmo - love it - wonderful addictive rage inducing game.

Now thinking of getting Full House Poker

Enigmo has n unachievable achievement, so buyers beware.

I might pick up Assassin's Creed though and possibly Full House Poker.

The link I posted explains fairly well the issue with that logic though. Disagreements happen, but I'm sure there's probably a good number of the WP users on TA that would disagree with it. Most probably couldn't care less either way though laugh

Why do they continually put games with broken achievements on sale for the deal of the week? It seems they are advertising broken games. Are achievements that low on their radar?

Incidentally, I did pick up Assassin's Creed.

For sales, and considering it's not a completely broken achievement, but only under certain conditions, yes they are low on the radar. This may be an achievement website, but Microsoft does not consider achievements in their advertising or sales. If they did, the number of broken achievements, would probably be waaaaaaay less.

It would be a good business decision if MS made achievements higher on their priority list. I'm sure by now they know that achievements make games sell. It worked so well that Sony made their own version of them, and I wouldn't doubt it if Nintendo add them to their new Wii thingy.

I can't see achievements as a higher priority resulting in better sales, at least not anything noticeable, which is all they care about. I think requiring too much of developers for achievements may also turn them away from quality achievements, which while it may help sales for the GS whores, people who want challenges may just as likely stray away from them. It would be nice to have them care more, but I'm not sure how they would do it that wouldn't hurt the customers in achievements

AC may be $2.99 but it won't complete purchase on 3 different phones. Though windowsphone.com says both $2.99 on main page then $4.99 on d/l or purchase page. roll
