New FIFA Street Box Art and Screenshots

This season's biggest transfer?

Written by Dave Horobin (DaveKinetic) on 27 November 11 at 15:27 , updated on 27 November 11 at 15:27

A couple of days ago, EA released a trailer featuring one of football's biggest stars, Lionel Messi, for the upcoming FIFA Street. Since the trailer, more news has been revealed as why a player who has featured on the cover of Pro Evolution Soccer more than once, the FIFA franchise's biggest competitor - featured in his own trailer.

Electronic Arts today announced that EA SPORTS has signed the world’s top footballer, Barcelona and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi, to a multi-year endorsement contract that will see him become the global face of the EA SPORTS FIFA franchise. The biggest transfer deal this football season sees the FIFA Ballon d’Or 2010 winner transfer to EA SPORTS and make his debut in March, 2012 on the cover of FIFA Street.

To go with the news, a fresh batch of screenshots were also released, once again featuring Messi, but also showing some of the locations that will be available in FIFA Street.

Do you think EA sports are just a bit happy they got Messi?

even had to put his name on his sweater incase people don't recognise him
My forum posts are probably not worth paying attention to.

Good signing for FIFA. I didn't get FIFA 12 (and don't intend on doing so), but I'll definitely be getting this.

But truth be told if anyone is very interested in picking up the game get it within the first three to six months work on or boost the online achievements as it's never going to change with server shutdown rotations. Don't buy or rent the game a year later then bitch about how they're shutting the online servers down so now you have to rush to get the online stuff knocked out.

Why were the servers for FIFA Street 3 shutdown when the sequel hasn't even come out yet?

I love FIFA but Fifa Street is just shite. It only exists for stupid people who still call football 'soccer'.
