Skyrim Patch 1.3 Now Live

It's the patch to fix the patch that fixed the game... sort of

In what is sure to be a common theme in the coming months/years, Bethesda has released another patch for their smash hit RPG, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This patch hit PC users last week, but is now live for the 360 version.

Patch 1.3 aims to fix some of the issues created by Patch 1.2 as well as other issues including:

-Fixed Radiant Story incorrectly filling certain roles
-Fixed magic resistances not calculating properly
-Fixed issue with placing books on bookshelves inside player purchased homes
-Fixed dragon animation issues with saving and loading
-Fixed Y-look input to scale correctly with framerate

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a fix for some of the glitched out quests that gamers have complained about.

Good to see their working on patches.

Still hope they can fix some quest related bugs soon.

It seems to me that if the graphics were toned down ever so slightly and if the game didn't have the Elder Scrolls association it would have been panned by critics and players alike due to the seemingly broken release. Of course, this is just an outside observation and I won't be able to tell for sure until I get this at Christmas.

they need to fix glitches where if you find a quest item before you are given the quest you cant turn them in.
osubluejacket - I'm not dead, but I am spending the week working at Cedar Point with bad WiFi... and roller coasters.

I was not an Elder Scrolls fan by any means before this game came out, but it completely sucked me in.

Futhermore, I found it to be the least buggy Bethesda release ever. In over 100 hours of gameplay, I've experienced minimal lockups and no major quest bugs.

I will concede, however, that everyone's experience is different and what may lock up one console may not lock up another.

German Version:
- Shalidors Maze - can´t open the locked Magic Seals with Staffs.
- Master-Criminal - there isn´t even a statistic for this to do (the 9 Holds).
- The small Talos-Necklace Quest (Beheaded Guy) in Solitude (Einsamkeit), the wife takes the
Necklace and still talks on, no progress with the quests.
- The small Quest on the Magesguild where you have to bring that guy 10 Dwemer Gears,
wrong translation and no counter or quest trigger to go back to him.

And for all Versions: the Fu****ing House in Windhelm, wheres those da** Quests???

Patch does not equal "broken", as most games that patch often contain tweaks. I've seen this game completed by several before this patch, so it was far from broken.

never had any frames per second issues
came on today installed the patch

This game has been my best Elder Scrolls experience by far. I've only had a few small hiccups (like not being able to use weapon racks in my Whiterun home, though I can use them freely in Solitude) and one major glitch involving the Waking Nightmare quest, though I was able to still get my Oblivion Walker achievement by utlizing a small bug with Hircine's quest so all is well. Keep those fixes coming! AND BRING ON THE DLC!

Hate to say it, but my experience since this latest update has been worse. Sure, backwards flying dragons are gone, but I have dealt with skeletal dragons that are immune to damage http://bit.ly/sd5AZT as well as dragons not giving up their souls. I've also had more quests glitch up and become impossible to finish in 3 hours, then the entire past month added together.

While I will agree with osubluejacket, that Skyrim was the least buggy game Bethesda has ever released, but the fact that the patches are only making the game worse is so completely backasswards (yes, backasswards), that I find it inexcusable. To think, I now have a game that actually was more playable upon release then after multiple patches.

Tempted to just delete the patches and play it offline until they get it together and 'fix' instead of 'break' the game, because I don't want to see my favorite game of the year suddenly become my most hated.

if u get the s-key and tbag the hole your ment to drop down and leave the dungeon it gets locked and you cannot finish theifs guild.
get all 24stones before talking to vex (cant give her the stones and the crown dont spawn in its cave so you cant just go get it :( )
also being able to break your necromancers anulet before you make it is just unfair (that shiz was awesome in morrowind and kinda awesome in oblivion)
they need2fix them quests then worry about thelittle things

Forbidden Legends quest is glitched for me. I'm also carrying tons of quest related items, and my bookshelf ate my books.

I've played skyrim for close to 200 hours. Only problem i've experienced is not being able to collect a dragons soul... this happened twice. Since dragons are infinite this has not effected my game. I can honestly say that the reason people aren't slamming this game is because it is F@cking awesome in spite of any small bugs/glitches. I would recommend not Installing the game.
Keep in mind how many games you've seen released in the past few years... full of glitches that were only 8 hours of gameplay! For a game so huge as Skyrim I commend them on how few problems I've encountered. WELL DONE BETHESDA. (now get to work on some DLC, i'm bored now)

I'm mixed on how I feel about Bethesda. I had no problem at all with what issues there were, but the 1.2 patch breaking magical resistances and dragons was pretty unacceptable. I ended up having to put the game aside because they made my game worse with a patch. Can't wait to get back at it though.

Why do they keep doing small things like bookshelves when theres a glitch that prevents me from doing the civil war and finishing dungeons do to dragon claws not working in my game. I have to disagree with allot of these posts there far from finished with fixing the game. But still it doesn't stop me from spending 200+ hours in the game.

Change your Game's Language to English to get around this bug. (Your playing the German Version all the info you need is here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Shalidor%27s_Maze)

Just go to each of the Main Cities (You can fast travel to each one by using the Horse+Carriage that's outside Whiterun) and Kill a Guard and then run away. Simples.

I have not encountered this quest so have no info on it. UESP might though.

Your right the quest will be bugged if you collect all 24 before going to Vex. What you have to do is collect 23 of them and then go to her :P Also the Crown won't spawn because you haven't advanced the quest to the next stage because of the above glitch

Quest Items have no Weight to them so even if it says 20 Weight it doesn't count against your Weight Limit.
