It seems like just yesterday
when we discussed the details of the gem system in Capcom's upcoming crossover, http://www.trueachievements.com/Street-Fighter-x-Tekken....htm
. Today we again discuss the gem system but this time it's in a talk show format as the latest episode of "X The Line" is all about gems.
I really want to say more about the gem system, such as how it's not needed and simply takes everything the fighting community hated about X-Factor from http://www.trueachievements.com/MARVEL-VS-CAPCOM-3-xbox....htm
while disregarding the good things (hyper canceling, no chip damage). Ultimately it's your choice whether or not the shoehorning of a collectible gem system on top of an otherwise solid fighting game will turn you off completely to this game (as it did for me) or if it actually intrigues you.
I hope my misgivings are proven wrong about this system, but we're all going to know when Street Fighter x Tekken
hits store shelves on March 6th in North America and March 9th in Europe.
