While we've seen plenty of action in the previously released
trailers for EA, 38 Studios, and Big Huge Games' upcoming title, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
, none of these videos has really detailed the combat system within the game.
In this recently released trailer, we are introduced to the three pillars upon which combat is based in Kingdoms of Amalur
- Might, Finesse, and Sorcery. Might lends itself to physical combat, Finesse represents the more acrobatic elements of combat, while Sorcery of course, allows you to use magic primarily. The trailer also gives further details about the types of weapons and spells that will be available throughout the game and how they may be combined depending on the destiny you choose for your hero.
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning
is due to be released on February 7th, 2012 in North America, February 9th in Australasia and February 10th in Europe. You can check out details of the recently detailed Limited Editions here
