Final Fantasy XIII-2 Characters Trailer Released

Square Enix continues its media blitz for Final Fantasy XIII-2, despite the fact that the game's already been out in Japan for almost a week, but with good reason. After all, there's plenty of game to show us non-Japanese folks, right?

Today's trailer features the characters of Final Fantasy XIII-2; The Rivals - Lightning and Caius, The Heroes - Serah and Noel, and The Returning Characters - Snow and Hope.

Square Enix also revealed that they are teaming up with Microsoft to bring some DLC exclusively to the Xbox 360. If you purchase the DLC, in-game merchant Chocolina will sell the 'Azrael' for use with Serah. Azrael is anticipated to possess a power which can change the user's destiny and also, when equipped, upgrades the player's Chain Bonus.

Curious as to what this item will look like? Well, here you go:

There is no word on when the DLC will release, but when it does, it will cost 80 MSP. You can head over here to see the schedule outline for several other pieces of FFXIII-2 DLC.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be released on January 31st, 2012 in North America and February 3rd, 2012 in Europe, which means you still have plenty of time to get in on the US-exclusive pre-order incentives. Also, make sure to check out American and European Collector's Edition packages for the game.
