Microsoft Flight Takes Off This Spring For Free

Microsoft is calling their upcoming flight simulator, Microsoft Flight, simple to play, but still offering a deeper experience for those who want it. Like the control scheme and gameplay promises to be, the game's payment options are similarly simple: It's free.

Of course, like most free-to-play games, there will be plenty of micro-transactions for players to make if they so choose, but those are entirely voluntary. Just downloading the game and signing into your Games for Windows account will grant you access to bonus content, bonus missions, an Online Pilot profile, and of course, achievements.

Here is a new video highlighting some of the different planes you will be able to fly over Hawaii.



Microsoft Flight will be available for free download on PC sometime this Spring.

The only change I noticed is real-like water fx. The rest - is the same shit as MSFS X.

A free game is always music to my ears! Especially if it's as good as other MS Flight Sims, and with cheevos too! This is the best news I've heard in a while from xbox live

Let's hope any earnable achievements aren't as bad as Game Room. Article did discuss micro-transactions on top of the free game. AoE: Online and Game Room are both like that. Need to buy stuff to get a majority of the achievements.

what, only 10 gb on hard drive? that is relatively little compare to flight simulator x wich used ca. 15 gb on the hard drive by default.

I'm going to wait for a bit to see if MS will charge people like 4000 Points just to get the completion. Hopefully its a cool game though.
