When I downloaded the Asura's Wrath demo, I expected actual gameplay...
Not the demo being 80% cutscenes and QTEs.
Though it was very easy, making it a breeze to go through (usually is when you only have one combo for the whole game) and if you love DBZ, you'll definitely enjoy this movie.
Er. Game. |

Don't really see the problem with how the game is set up, I personally enjoyed it because it allowed battles to be over the top much more than it would if you actually strung combos together.
The moves are simple but with the button prompts in battle keeping you aware it's not just mashing B until you trigger the next QTE, unless that's the way you want to go with it.
Either way, I don't mind how the game is set up but if the chapters fly like that I doubt I'll be paying $60 for it simply because it won't last long. Though that box art is something. |
You seem a little furious... |

Asuras Wrath demo was...interesting o_O Strange to play chapters in the middle of the game that are actually not really gameplay. |

| Asura's Wrath was pretty damn cool. Over the top fighting, cool boss battle, and no overly annoying QTE's. Probably going to pick it up when it comes out now. |

Though that box art is something.I think the problem is that most people, like myself, would rather actually PLAY video games as opposed to watching them. FMV games are that way. I feel like more of a badass in Devil May Cry when I finally string together a monster combo than I do watching lots of motion blur and pressing a few buttons.
That said I do find it interesting that we got not just one but two games that are basically just "press button, watch cutscene" type games. I thought FFXIII-2 was going to be more action oriented, not FFXIII with QTEs. |
Looking to boost any MP achievements I don't have for any game I own. |

| No FF13-2 Demo in Germany! Whatever, already Pre-orderd the Game so why playing a Demo if you get the full Game. ;) And Asuras Wrath Demo was great, i like the mix between DMC, Ninja Blade QTEs and DragonBall Epic Fights. (maybe there was also some Hokuto Shinken^^) |

I thought FFXIII-2 was going to be more action oriented, not FFXIII with QTEs.You have a good point. But I, for one, sometimes have different moods (for the lack of a better term I guess) of how I want to play. Sure some games have become nothing more than interactive movies, but that's not a bad thing for people who enjoy that.
Sometimes I don't want to have the anxiety of trying to string together long combos but I want to still enjoy an action-packed type experience.
FFXIII-2 never was even talked about being an action-RPG has it? I mean FFXIII has a few battles you had to be kind of quick with the commands and shifts but it wasn't much more than a lot of non-player controlled movement added to a turn based battle system ya know? |
Real-time...weapon change? |
