Wrecked: Revenge Revisited Track Details

By Rebecca Smith, 4 years ago
Eight months have passed since we last heard any news about http://www.trueachievements.com/Wrecked-Revenge-Revisit....htm, the follow up to Xbox Original game Mashed / Drive to Survive / Simple 2000 Series Ultimate Vol. 28: Tousou! Kenka Grand Prix: Drive to Survive depending on which part of the world you hail from. The game was due to release in Q2 2011, but after everything went silent, we assumed that we were looking at another case of vapour ware.

This is not the case. Developer Supersonic has now blogged about the tracks that players will find in the game. The game will offer a total of six tracks, as the developer was "adamant that we weren’t going to throw loads of tracks into the games to play a numbers game. Instead we decided we were going to do a small number and make sure every one of them was really good."

This image doesn't look like much, but these are the track layouts of all six tracks. Here's a quick synopsis:

Brockridge Mine
This track was inspired by Tierra Piedra, a track from Mashed. The shape of this track has been tweaked many times, but the end result is the track in the middle of the top row. If you want more of an idea of what to expect, here's a video of the old Tierra Piedra:

This track takes its inspiration from Polar Wharf, another track from Mashed. The shape of the track is incredibly simple, but will be hard to perfect. The end result is the track on the right of the top row. Here's a video of the old Polar Wharf:

Jungle Temple
Jungle Temple is the track that is tasked with introducing players to the game. However, the steepest slope in the game is located in this track and despite the simple shape, drivers will be in a lot of danger if they stray off the edge. This track is the one on the left of the top row.

Jungle Falls
This is the longest track and is the one on the left of the bottom row. Those eagle-eyed readers amongst you will notice that the bottom section has a lot of alternative routes. There's also a sneaky shortcut at the very top of the map.

Daredevil Peak
Unlike the previous track, this one is quite short and can be found in the middle of the bottom row. The roads are thin and perilous, and the track is surrounded by vertical cliffs. Supersonic expect this track to be a multiplayer favourite as it favours the use of weapons.

Arctic Outpost
The final track on the right of the bottom row has the most complex shape of them all. Highlights include "a wide, icy switch-back series of turns" and the corkscrew that exits through a tunnel.

As well as the six tracks, the game will offer a single-player Championship Mode that offers 24 challenges spread over four disciplines. Local or online multiplayer will support up to four players, with customisable cars and 14 weapons available to cause chaos.

Wrecked: Revenge Revisited will be released in early 2012.
