Who dresses Voldo in the morning?

Written by litepink on 20 January 12 at 18:51

Imagine if you will, SoulCalibur V's Voldo waking up from a long slumber. He yawns and stretches, then climbs out of bed – more than likely in the nude. He feels around in complete darkness looking for one of his newest garments. He recalls his tailor telling him that this one will “look great on you”. Being as he is blind he took their word for it and purchased the outfit. Just because Voldo is 67 years old doesn’t mean he can’t keep up with the latest in fashion, right?

This is likely the logical explanation for all of Voldo’s eccentric wardrobe, including his default and alternate costume in SoulCalibur V. The screenshots below show off Voldo and several other fighters sporting their alternate wear.

I'm sorta liking these Alternates more than the normal ones, Astaroth's is pretty neat :)
None of Voldo's looks cool this time though.

OMG!! These costumes are to die for! I hope if they're a DLC, that it's only 400msp. Because I simply want them all! The colors are so vibrant!! Yes! /sarcasm

Give me a break! Supposed to be brutal fighting games and alternate costumes gets majority of the coverage nowadays. This stuff reminds me of little girls with their Barbies. It's a fighting game people! This bullshit needs to go back to being a hidden unlockable and not a centerpiece.

This meaning, you can select them from the start. There shouldn't be any unlocking or DLC required for these. I don't see why there's a problem showcasing that, either. The newshounds are showing us what Namco has made available to them, and in this case it was cool new costumes. They've been extremely thorough about covering this game on TA, by the way, and have shown us any and all legitimate gameplay trailers that have been released to the public. It's not like they're picking and choosing the purely aesthetic stuff.

It's all marketing. The more news releases you can have prior to the game's release, the more likely someone will notice it and take an interest in your product (especially if they are covering a wide variety of the game's details).

These costumes aren't too bad, but I'll stick with creating my own versions of the characters. Though if I had to pick one as my favorite it would definitely be Astaroth as far as secondaries go.

Nice, but for what's good and all, it seems like another fighter keeps breaking street date, and as of post, there are 8 users on TA playing SC5, I really have no clue how they get their copies early...(Unless its mom and pop shops again, lol.)
