City Interactive's arcade flight sim Combat Wings: The Great Battles of WWII was announced at last year's E3, and since its announcement, very little information has been released other than a 6 minute gameplay video and a selection of screens -- until now that is. The latest gameplay trailer features many of the famous planes that will be available to pilot when the game’s released next month.



Combat Wings: The Great Battles of World War II was originally due for release on February 7th in North America, and February 10th in Europe, though it seems to have missed this slightly. City Interactive’s website states the current release window as March 2012.

Looks decent enough but this is retail? I thought this was going to be on XBLA.

The damage looks kind of silly. Still, if some of those other planes in the trailer can be flown (Typhoon!) I'll be getting this.

The arcade feel of this makes it tempting, though by the time I finish Ace Combat 6 I may not be feeling any flying for a while. laugh

Still, the gameplay/action seems promising.
