Millionaire: Special Editions Getting More DLC

Millionaire: Special Editions Getting More DLC

How well do you know your sports?

Written by N0T PENNYS B0AT on 20 February 12 at 00:36

When Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Special Edition was announced, it was also announced that the game would have many DLC packs over time. So far, we've seen add-ons like South Park, Star Trek, movies, football, and music. Now we know of the next downloadable content pack: Sports.

The DLC will add about another 600 questions to the game and can be purchased for 240 MSP. The DLC, like the others, will allow for fully integrated gameplay of all the game's rules like lifelines and the fastest finger round. Though, if the new screens below are anything to go on, you shouldn't always assume the audience knows what they're talking about when you ask for their assistance.

MILL 1

MILL 2

MILL 3

I regret to remind North American gamers that the game is unavailable in your region. Anyone else can download the DLC on March 1st.

Well done audience hahaha. I did say I'd pick up one of two possible DLCs for this: cricket (which'll never happen) or just general sports, so yay! Will be getting this :)

Can you just imagine how many more dlc packs they would have sold if they had achievements attached.

I find it odd that it isn't available in NA, yet the screens they do give out show a basketball question. Ironic.

Ironic.See, I felt that question wouldn't have even been on the game if it were available in North America, because it's so easy for us. However, since they generally don't care about the NBA as much as we do here, the question is worth a spot among the 599 others.

They really should add Achievements. I don't care about sports, but I might've bought the pack for some extra GamerScore.

In fairness to the audience in the above screen, I don't think that is a screen of the result, it's while the audience is deciding and the bars on the chart rise and fall randomly.

Yeah that blows, I just got the 2012 edition and its not even close to the TV show,

i.e.
no fast finger questions
They try to use the kinnect way too much. as in if you are sitting too far away or not up straight enough you cant continue

instead of seeing how far you can get by the questions getting harder each time the first "round" randomly mixes up the questions so you could have the $10,000 question first and the $100 one 8th
The "lifelines" are nothing more than "skip this question" which you can use twice and then the "final" round has an ask the audience which is the only part of the game that's like the TV show.

overall pretty disappointing for a retail release with the Millionaire name

I'm just glad they didn't add any ridiculous achievements like answer a million questions.

as for this thread sounds like good news for those of who who can play this version

My understanding is that the Kinect version is based on the (neutered) daytime version of the show, not the "classic" format used when Regis was host.

Yeah I haven't watched it in a while. so just wasn't what I was expecting. still fun if you like question games and are playing with others

I wonder how much of that audience is made of females considering A) their response and B) his magic with the ladies supposedly.
