FIFA 12 January Transfer Title Update Hits

While the January transfer window may be an exciting time for football fans, this generally means one thing for players of the latest FIFA game - the game's team lists are now out of date. Well FIFA 12 is out of date no longer, as today brings an update with all of the latest transfers.

Now players will find that Gary Cahill is now at Chelsea, while Louis Saha has moved to Tottenham Hotspur, and these are just two of the examples. What about Paul Scholes, though? Has the game reflected his decision to come out of retirement and return to Manchester United? According to @EASPORTSFIFA, the answer is a resounding yes. However, Scholes will not be available to use in Ultimate Team.

The patch will download automatically if players go into a Head-to-Head Seasons match. The patch can also be downloaded manually by following these instructions:

To download the latest FIFA 12 squads manually: Menu - Customise FIFA > Edit Teams > Change Squads/Rosters > Download Updates
Some players may encounter problems when downloading the patch and these have been put down to conflicts with user generated content (UGC) created before the title update in November 2011. EA recommends deleting the UGC content file from your Xbox and then attempting to download the update again. Instructions on how to delete the UGC file can be found here.
