UK Deal Roundup for February 28th, 2012

By Rebecca Smith, 4 years ago
This week seems to be devoid of new sales again. Play’s £5 offer has been running for a couple of weeks now but finally deserves a mention this week; this is the only ‘new’ sale. Otherwise, Amazon, GAME, Play, Shopto, TheHut and Zavvi all have their usual weekly offers.

As usual you need to click on the name of the retailer or the name of the deal to be taken straight to the retailer’s offer page. Further details on the deals, including the best pick of the sale items, can be found in the ‘details here’ link, which will take you back to the relevant UK deal roundup that described the sale in more detail. Clicking on the name of a game will take you to the achievement list. All prices were correct at the time of writing.

To start off the new sales of the week, Amazon has a promotion on UDraw tablets. The tablet bundle with uDraw Studio: Instant Artist costs £23.97.

GAME’s deals of the week are extremely similar to last week, although we have lost a couple of titles:
GoldenEye 007: Reloaded MI6 Edition - £24.99
The Sims 3 Pets Limited Edition - £19.99
SoulCalibur V Collector’s Edition - £44.99

Play’s deals of the week are also extremely similar to last week, but we gain a couple of titles here:
Batman: Arkham City (Xbox 360) - £24.99
The King of Fighters XIII - £17.99
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 Legacy Edition - £7.99
Wheelman - £5.99

A couple of weeks ago, Play started a promotion that sees “thousands of items for £5”. With no Xbox 360 games involved and the majority of PC titles not being GFWL enabled, I’d ignored it before. However, this week sees Play being the cheapest retailer for Operation Flashpoint: Red River (PC). Surprisingly enough it costs £5.

Shopto’s Xbox 360 Weekly Specials see The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim at £32.86. Their Xbox 360 Star Buys see Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 (game only) at £11.86, Generator Rex: Agent of Providence at £9.85 and Yoostar 2: In The Movies at £4.95.

TheHut’s Super Six deals create two discount codes this week, but again they’re only of use if you’re planning on spending a fair amount of money. Buyers can save £5 when spending £50 if the code LEAPYEAR50 is entered at the basket. Alternatively, buyers can save £10 when spending £100 if the code LEAPYEAR100 is entered at the basket.

Zavvi’s weekly offers finally yield something worth mentioning: Binary Domain is just £24.95.

HMV’s Pure Double Points promotion list has now changed again slightly. Here is the current list of games:

TheHut’s ‘Games for Under £5’ promotion continues. One or two titles are shared with the promotion below, but of those that aren’t, BioShock 2 (PC) is £3.95.

TheHut’s Stock Clearance runs into another week. The sale shares some titles with sister store Zavvi’s Price Drop, so I’ve done one list so that things don’t get repeated. Below you’ll find a list of games that are shared, as well as a list for each of the titles unique to the individual retailer.
