| Refund only available as store credit? That is illegal under the sale of goods act. People... time to kick up a stink, Game have always had unethical public practice... Politely remind them their primitive company policy does not supersede national law, parliamentary law or the constitution of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland..... companies think they can make up their own shit and ignore the law. Know your rights. If they fail to deliver you the goods, you're entitled to a refund (in your method of payment). End of. |

Fortunately both Game and GameStation here in the UK are pretty expensive for new titles, so I doubt many people will have ordered them from there anyway hopefully.
GameStation are pretty good for second hand games deals, but between Amazon, Play, Tesco and Asda they're always fighting for pre-orders and customers so have really good deals on.
(I pre-ordered ME3 from Play, btw) |

Oh wow, if this is true GAME are dead in the water aren't they.
I should cash in all those store card points I've got with them before they dissolve into the ether.... |

| I think it's true as Shopto.net are now taking pre-orders for the N7 collectors edition which was a game exclusive. I have cancelled my Game order and gone with them instead. |

I don't hate Gamestation but Game is like the Halfords of videogames. Nice pretty shops but noone in them has a fucking clue about anything.
Why have EA pulled them from the two shops anyway? I despise EA about as much as Game. |

they're being pulled as Game have absolutely no ability to get credit any more, and the major publishers are all demanding cash up front.
Unfortunately for people who work there, they'll be going under very soon, it's simply a question of when.
Basically, if you have any credit with them, spend it soon, as you won't be able to once the administrators are called in. |

(I pre-ordered ME3 from Play, btw)Game & Gamestation had the UK exclusivity for N7 editions, which is why they had so many pre-orders.
Wondered when the s**t would hit the fan about that, no-one since November has been able to pre-order an N7 edition anywhere. |

i remember when i bought my gears3 xbox at game. it came with 2 problems: 1) a broken controller, which got replaced inmediately 2) the sensor that tells the LEDs if your console is horizontal or vertical did not work.
when i told this to the guy in the shop (who works there for at least 6 years already) he was amazed that there was a sensor, he never noticed, never knew...
/sigh
if it wasn't for all the ppl. working in game in whole europe, i wish they would go to hell and close. |

| Does this hark back to the project ten dollar/ EA hatred of the second hand market?? If they drop support for bricks and mortar stores and so self distribution...they get all the cash... |

| Game/station have decent sales sometimes, its only the loyalty card that makes them worth using for new stuff. It will be a shame to see them go under though, its the only shop near mine that sells games that i can go and browse in, apart from Asda and Tesco. |
