Typical launch day online shooter problems, games are never full, can't join a game already in progress, repeatedly kicked from server with no reason given, can't get in game with a friend for more than a few seconds....
...but on the few occasions it has worked it is so much fun it should be illegal. Just hope it develops, and keeps, a decent community. |

| The game wouldn't have half of players if not for the House Party but hey i bought Warp and Alan Wake and im getting I Am Alive so that game is "free" for me xD |

Just bought the damn thing but the servers are broke.
So lame.
It's not bad though. But feels like a $5 game. |

This annoys me you wouldn't say "OH LOOK A HORDE GAME TYPE IS IN THIS GAME? LOOKS LIKE ITS A COPY OF SPACE INVADERS!"
people do it all the time "Fortress craft is a minecraft clone" but no one ever says "CoD is a DOOM clone" They says its a different game in the genre. Fortress craft is just a different game in minecrafts genre and the same applys here, Nexiuz isn't a Unreal clone but just another entry to its 'genre' |

Paid for this yesterday - and it's not too bad. Very very similar to Quake 3 and Unreal. initially I wasn't too pleased with my purchase but then got quite hooked.
I think there's a real issue with the feeling of the guns though. Nothing feels like it's packing a real punch, and shooting someone does seem pretty hit and miss (no pun intended). Dev's are already planning updates to some of the issues with it. |

I have the demo sitting on the HDD, but I haven't booted it up yet. I am curious if there are bots (as there was in the PC version), but from the comments I would say probably not. Hopefully the server issues with clear up and there will be some sort of community on it, otherwise I will just go back to the free PC/Mac/Linux version (or Xonotic the fork of it).
And just to clarify It was originally a Quake 3 Arena mod that used a heavily modified version of the quake engine. It was basically an open-source attempt to create a Quake III Arena shooter that required no license or fees, and the holder of the Nexuiz name decided to commercialize it. So calling it nothing but a Quake 3 shooter is sort of the point, as it was supposed to more or less be a replacement Quake 3 shooter. |

Played Halo and Gears for most of my life.
Managed to nearly instantly adapt.
Was immediately bored. |
