Assassin's Creed III Heading to America

Assassin's Creed III Heading to America

Box art and story details all revealed

Written by DaveKinetic on 01 March 12 at 19:39

When details of last year's http://www.trueachievements.com/AC-Revelations-xbox-360.htm were first revealed, it was made clear that the game would bring the stories of both Ezio Auditore and Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad to a close, with a new Assassin, time period and location taking their place in Assassin's Creed III.

Today, the news most fans of the franchise were waiting for was revealed, as Ubisoft released an image of the game's cover art, quite clearly showing the American flag in the background.

Screen Pack 1

Further information was revealed via Game Informer, with the magazine confirming that the game would be set during the 18th Century American Revolution.

Ever since the conclusion of Assassin's Creed II, a senior team of Ubisoft developers has been secretly toiling away on what comes next. That team aimed high, with plans to examine and rethink every element of the franchise from the ground up, build something new, and take a full three year development cycle to do it.

The game that emerged is Assassin's Creed III. Set in the latter half of the 18th century, we'll see the war between the Templars and the Assassins escalate as it crosses over to the New World of America, and witness firsthand the events of the American Revolution.
The magazine's April edition will feature 13 pages of information, including details of the game's protagonist, screenshots and art, some of which can be seen below.

As if all of that wasn't enough to get your excited, in true Assassin's Creed style, Ubisoft have teased that more information will be revealed on March 5th.

Assassin's Creed III is scheduled for release on October 31st of this year.

I can't wait!!!

Kinda imagined as much, being taking place in the Revolution. Can't wait to see what's going to happen here! Although I should play Brotherhood and Revelations before heading into this one.

And here... we... go.

Need to do some serious boosting in Brotherhood before then, so as to start the end of the trilogy in style.

It's tough to think of the cities this would play out in... my thoughts go right to Philadelphia and Boston, but not sure about more. New York would seem good, but it wasn't the big metropolis it is now back then, so I'm not sure what kind of climbing around there would be to do unless they choose to focus more on combat, stealth, and a story this time around...

after AC:R, im sure this will be some short and rather unintresting campaign. while the online part is made even larger, probably with horde mode just like everyone esle. Lucy will probably not mentioned after the first 30 seconds of revelations.

I'm thinking it's going to be more open world? Not very many large cities in Revolutionary America. Hoping they're going to really shake up the formula.

Look's great already!, would've preferred it be set during the Industrial Revolution though. So much potential for that one, like maybe having one of the assassin tools be some sort of prototype grappling hook? With these pictures so far, 3 looks to be promising though.
