How much DLC will this game get?
I'll start the bid with:
12 packs for singleplayer (weapons etc. and story based)
6 packs for multiplayer |

| 800 msp for 50g? I don't have any intention of buying that game but that sounds a little overpriced. Although correct me if i'm wrong and it's totally worth the money. |

Although correct me if i'm wrong and it's totally worth the money. You have to consider the Lore behind the character within the Mass Effect series. Until now only Shepard has been understanding of the Protheans due to his interaction in ME1, we have seen them corrupted in the form of the Collectors in ME2. This character is huge to the game, and it was heavily argued that this shouldn't even be DLC and should have been there on launch.
Basically, if you care about the Mass Effect story it's a must have. If you're playing Mass Effect mainly for achievement points... you're doing it wrong. I understand this is an achievement site but really now. |

In my opinion, all day-one DLC should be included with the purchase of the main game. I know the studio's arguments about why that shouldn't necessarily be the case, but that's just my opinion.
That being said, I will buy this, though probably not till it goes on DOTW. |

| I'll be begrudgingly getting the game, but they can ram this DLC where the sun doesn't shine. I don't know whether EA or Bioware messed this shit up but I don't even care anymore. I hope both of them crash and burn together. People have decided what they're going to do and no amount of moral or even logical arguing is going to change that. Might as well let sleeping dogs lie. |

Here you pay 800msp for an extra part of the story and accidentaly it gives you the opportunity to get 50G more. It's sad to see people buy not the game and its experience but the G you can get... |

Yay! Stupid crap they could easily have put in the game, despite all the excuses that they state otherwise...
EDIT: Oh, and by "in the game" I mean "on the disc" for all you smartasses. |

TLDR at bottom. I'll add fuel to fire I suppose and just throw my two cents in on day one DLC, but won't go into a full blown argument about the subject. I really can't help but find it cute for people to be so up in arms about day 1 DLC. The fact of the matter is, is day one DLC is a BONUS, the issue is no one views it as such. Games are generally packaged months ahead of time before they're launched. Within this time companies come up with something extra for the fans that they release, yet everyone screams entitlement to it each and every time it happens. If they were to make the DLC into part of the game it would simply prolong the release date longer and then when they package it with said DLC in the story you repeat the same process of them having some downtime in the following months.
There are however legit arguments when it comes to DLC such as this one, and there is one I agree to. Something such as this, where it effects the lore and story strongly should not be considered an "extra" or "bonus" to the consumer, it should be there.
But as far as general day one DLC, skins, character unlocks for multiplayer, maps, maybe something not so story heavy such as the L.A. Noire pre-order cases... people can complain all they want. If you sit around and wish death on every company that adds day one DLC, your list of games will slowly get cut down more and more each year. Simply because more companies and publishers have started doing it.
Maybe I'm far too passive with my opinion and how I view things. But I just simply accept things for how they are, complaining about it is me simply wasting my breath and time, kind of like me typing all of this, as I'm sure someone or multiple people will read it, consider me and idiot and tell me about it.
Although I guess if you're looking for a place to riot and protest your feelings. TotalBiscuit on Youtube likes to rant about this kind of stuff, and Reddit Gaming / 4chan like to go up in arms and become rabid animals over trivial things as well.
TLDR - More and more companies are doing day one DLC, people should get used to it. Reddit and 4chan gaming are good places to riot and yell about trivial issues. Although I will agree that day one DLC with such a heavy lore effecting character is quite stupid, still not up in arms about it. |
