Many TA members still remember 2002's Steel Battalion
for the original Xbox. Players controlled a bipedal mecha called a 'Vertical Tank', but the thing that players remember the most is the controller required to play the game. The controller had two control sticks and approximately 40 buttons; the bundle with game and controller retailed at approximately $200. Despite the price, the game quickly sold out of its limited quantities and became a collector's item. A sequel in 2004, Steel Battalion: Line of Contact
also used the controller. You'll be glad to know that the latest instalment for this console generation, http://www.trueachievements.com/Steel-Battalion-Heavy-A....htm
, will not be repeating that experience.
Players will be immersed in the year 2082 where new superpowers are struggling for dominance. The Vertical Tank is the one weapon that could determine the outcome of this struggle and players take on the role of Lt. Powers, tank pilot, as he attempts to change the course of the war. Here is his story:
Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor
will use a combination of ordinary controller and Kinect instead of an expensive game-specific peripheral. We've already provided details
of how this setup will work, but here is the first ever gameplay video, complete with control prompts, showing the game in action. Just be aware that some of the language is not safe for work.

is due to be released on June 19th, 2012 in North America. A release date for other regions is yet to be confirmed.
