Registration Opens for Dream.Build.Play 2012

The Dream.Build.Play Challenge is an annual competition for upcoming developers where they use XNA Game Studio 4.0 to create an Indie game for the Xbox 360. These games are then judged on their fun factor, production quality and levels of innovation, with prizes being awarded to the winners. As well as cash prizes, each of the four winners has a chance to secure a publishing contract with Microsoft to develop a game for XBLA. This year there's a new game category too; teams who develop games for the Windows Phone will also be able to submit entries. These teams must download the Windows Phone SDK 7.1 and choose Windows Phone 7.1 as the target platform.

Last year's competition saw over 250 entries, with Blocks That Matter being crowned as the eventual winner. To be in with a chance of your game making the cut this year, you must register here before May 15th and be over 14 years of age. Games can be submitted between May 15th and June 12th.
