Lollipop Chainsaw Soundtrack Detailed

By Michelle Balsan, 4 years ago
Without a doubt, we all understand how important music is to a game, especially where the single player experience is concerned. After all, I'm sure that all of you can think of a moment in gaming that had a great impact on you and you don't only remember the story, but the sounds too, be it the music, or the voice acting, or simply sound effects.

A couple of weeks ago, we were introduced to the voice actors behind the colorful cast of characters in Grasshopper Manufacture and Kadokawa Games' Lollipop Chainsaw. This time around, Grasshopper Manufacture CCO, Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill, Shadows of the Damned, Sine Mora), and Mindless Self Indulgence member Jimmy Euringer discuss the importance of music and sound to the game's atmosphere.

In addition to the original works composed by Yamaoka and Euringer, here's a full list of the licensed tunes appearing in the game:

· Lollipop – The Chordettes
· Pac Man Fever – Buckner & Garcia
· Rock ‘N’ Roll (Will Take You To The Mountain) – Skrillex
· The Way of the Fist – Five Finger Death Punch
· Stop Reading, Start Doing Pushups - Destroy Rebuild Until God Comes
· Riot Rhythm – Sleigh Bells
· Turtle Crazy – Toy Dolls
· 1,000 Cigarettes – MSTRKRFT
· Heroes Of Our Time – Dragonforce
· Nemesis – Arch Enemy
· Needled 24/7 – Children of Bodom
· Mickey – Toni Basil
· You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) – Dead or Alive
· Empire State Human – The Human League
· Cherry Bomb - Joan Jett and the Blackhearts
· Speed - Atari Teenage Riot
Lollipop Chainsaw will be released June 12th in North America, June 14th in Japan, and June 15th in Europe. Check out the pre-order bonuses over here.

She can be compelled to play just about anything if there's a co-op component, and has been playing games with friends and siblings since the Atari 2600. As it's reportedly healthy to have hobbies outside of gaming, she also roots for some of the most difficult sporting franchises to root for, the New York Mets and New York Jets, but offsets that by rooting for the New Jersey Devils. She's also seen pretty much none of the movies you have, but she's working on that.
