UK Deal Roundup for April 17th, 2012

By Rebecca Smith, 4 years ago
I’ve come to the conclusion that Shopto are being crafty. Instead of having the old style Weekly Deals and Star Bargains, they keep changing the name of their latest sale in the hope that nobody notices. If you hadn’t guessed by now, it has changed its name again this week. Play, Sainsbury’s and TheHut have started the most substantial new sales this week, while Zavvi continues with their random offers. Discount codes and points promotions are still being run by ASDA, TheHut, Toys R Us and Zavvi. As for weekly deals, those belong to GAME and Gamestation.

As usual you need to click on the name of the retailer or the name of the deal to be taken straight to the retailer’s offer page. Further details on the deals, including the best pick of the sale items, can be found in the ‘details here’ link, which will take you back to the relevant UK deal roundup that described the sale in more detail. Clicking on the name of a game will take you to the achievement list. All prices were correct at the time of writing.

To start off the new and weekly offers of this period, ASDA is still offering 10% off all pre-order games when the code GPRE10 is entered at the basket.

GAME has restarted their Deals of the Week. Sister store Gamestation has called it Steals of the Week but, in both cases, the only title worth mentioning is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim at £24.99.

Play has restarted their Warehouse Clearance. These are the new bargains:

TheHut has started a Games From £7.95 promotion. Due to the large hike in their prices over the last couple of weeks, they aren’t as competitive any more, which means that this list is shorter than it would have been had they started this a month ago:
