Just in case you thought we forgot about those of you stateside who want in

Undoubtedly, there's a huge amount of buzz about today's launch of the MP beta for Ubisoft's upcoming Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. Also, you're probably aware that we've recruited a TA Ghost or two, but that we've sadly had to restrict those entries to UK residents.

Thankfully, the folks at Ubisoft have stepped up and have given us five beta keys for US hopefuls to become part of the TA team. We will be giving all of these codes away right here on the site because we want to make sure the lucky winners can experience what promises to be an amazing MP experience as soon as possible. For full details on the beta, be sure to check out this article.

How do you enter for your chance to play in the beta? Simple!

If you'd like to be entered into the draw here on site, simply submit a comment on this thread. Once the contest closes at 5:00PM EDT, we'll head to random.org ASAP so we can draw the winners and get them into the fray! Remember you must be from the US to redeem any of these codes. We'll be checking your TA profile for location information, so make sure it's up-to-date before you enter!

I don't get why they'd limit the beta entries. Sure I could understand that they want you to have bought another game (Conviction), but that came out such a long time ago that it's practically useless. At this point, they should just be opening it up to everyone so more people will want in when the full game is released (assuming they actually created a quality product).

This still counts as an entry, not just a rant though smile

Account Settings

Xbox live settings will need to be set up in the following way to allow TrueAchievements to scan your gamertag.

1. Log into https://live.xbox.com

2. Click on My Account in the top toolbar.

3. Scroll down to Settings and Preferences on the right hand side. Click on Privacy and Online Settings.

4. Scroll down to Privacy. You need to make sure that Profile Sharing and Game History is set to Everyone otherwise you will not be scanned.

These simple steps will allow TrueAchievements to scan your profile and update your achievements.
