Anarchy Reigns Battle Royale Trailer Released

That first attack looks painful. So did the second... and the third.

Among the multiplayer game types that are going to be available in Sega's Platinum-developed Anarchy Reigns is the 16-player "Battle Royale". For ten minutes, you and your 15 opponents get to run around causing as much damage to each other as you can.

Curious as to what it will look like in action? Platinum has just released a 12-minute trailer showing off some gameplay from the "Battle Royale" MP mode:

Anarchy Reigns will be released on July 3rd for North America, July 5th for Australia and Japan, and July 6th for Europe.

there used to be a game on the ps 1 that was like this, running around beating each other up. ill pick up anything platinum but this is starting to strike me as a game that will get more support on the ps3, hell most of the videos have been ps3. i cant imagine the game being groundbreaking but i dont want it to just be a hit and miss like vanquish (the games good, just no one really bought it here in Australia).

I really have to say that I am impressed by the sheer size of these maps, we'll have to see how much latency and various connection types will affect this game. Could be the next closest thing I'll get to Power Stone 3 for a while. Also check out the random sound of female ecstasy at 7:36 in the first video, I lul'd laugh
