XCOM Delayed

By Jonathan Barnes, 4 years ago
In what seems to be a regular occurrence, Take-Two announced that http://www.trueachievements.com/XCOM-xbox-360.htm, the shooter being developed by 2K Marin (NOT the strategy game being developed by Firaxis) is getting another delay.

For those keeping score:

The game was initially slated for a 2011 release.

This got pushed back to an FY 2012 release window.

THEN we were told to expect a March 2012 release.

After that, the game was pushed back to an FY 2013 release window.

In January, we were told not to expect it earlier than 2013

Now, in today's news, Take-Two has told us that the game is set for an FY 2014 (April 1, 2013 and ends March 31, 2014) release.

When (fictitiously) asked about the reason for the many delays, Take-Two refused to comment on the wild speculation that the protagonist for XCOM is actually Duke Nukem.
