Phantom Breaker Gets An XBLA Spin-Off

Side-scrolling action game coming next year

The upcoming anime fighter, Phantom Breaker [Cancelled], will be getting a follow up next year. Defying expectations the upcoming Phantom Breaker: Battle Ground will not be another 2D anime-influenced fighting game but rather a 2D side-scrolling anime-influenced action game.

At the moment we know very little beyond it will have 4 player cooperative play and also a competitive arena mode. Jumping from planes, similar to Guardian Heroes, will likely be a primary gameplay mechanic.

Phantom Breaker will be available June 12th in North America after suffering a number of delays. Phantom Breaker: Battle Ground will be available for XBLA sometime in 2013.

I liked Phantom Breaker a lot, still playing the JP version. ^^

I'll probably buy this game too. After all, it'll be easily accessible since it's XBLA. XD

Hopefully its better than the fighter, but anyway...

Still picking it up as soon as its out, with its ridiculous delays and stuff. ~_~
