Ascend: New Gods Announced [UPDATE]

A new XBLA title coming in 2013

During the Microsoft E3 press conference, one of the new games announced was Ascend: Hand of Kul.

Edit: Since the publication of this article, a press release has given us a few more details:

Enter the world as Caos, a gigantic breed of mighty warriors created to serve the will of the Gods. Combat the immortal Titans while fending off attacks from rival players and establishing your influence in the global Ascend conflict. Epic three-scale combat takes place across immense landscapes and limitless dungeons. “Ascend” offers unprecedented connectivity across mobile and console Xbox LIVE platforms. Wage war against Xbox 360 players from your mobile phone, gain power and prestige, and transfer it all to your console – anywhere, anytime.The trailer doesn't give much away in terms of detail, but what we do know is it is being developed by Signal Studios, the team who brought us the award winning Toy Soldiers franchise.



Ascend: New Gods will be coming to XBLA in 2013.

The trailer at E3 was awful. Terrible graphics, awkward character models. I suppose it's still really early, but it did look so terrible.

I do like the whole "God" "Titan" theme, and the ending where he floated up was pretty cool. With some more time I'm sure it will look better. This is the first I've heard of it and it's not out until next year. So I'm not going to say no to it just yet. :P
