Shoot1Up Screenshots Showcase Multi-Ship Combat

By Dog of Thunder, 4 years ago
Shoot 1UP was originally announced nearly a year ago at Gamescom, but with E3 in full swing, we finally have some more concrete information on Mommy's Best Games' Xbox Live Indie Game that is making the jump to the Windows Phone.

While Shoot 1UP is a traditional looking shmup, the gameplay twist is revealed in the title. Whenever you collect a 1UP, it doesn't add to your stock of available lives, rather that the extra ship is immediately available. If you have the skill, you can have up to thirty ships in action at the same time. Players will be able to contract the phalanx of ships to dodge fire, or expand the armada across the screen and unleash a devastating torrent of fire.

The more ships you have at your disposal, the more that the power of your weapons increases and they will decrease in power if you begin losing ships. If you have to, you can trigger a kamikaze bomb by sacrificing a ship to destroy everything on screen. Difficulty settings will range from a nice, easy walk in the park to severe, soul-crushing pain.

Here's some screenshots of Shoot 1UP in action.
