Mad Catz is putting its peripheral manufacturing arm of their business to good use with the Collector’s Edition of DAMAGE INC. Pacific Squadron WWII. Along with the game, you get a flight stick and a set of decals for it. Here’s an image of the game and flight stick pack:

Collector's Edition

The cost of the Collector’s Edition is listed at $99.99 via Gamestop. The game by itself has a pre-order price of $49.99. Over on Amazon, a listing for the Collector’s Edition isn’t available as of yet, but they have the standalone game for only $39.99. Not only that, but Amazon is offering bonus content to those who pre-order.

Pre-order Damage Inc., Pacific Squadron WWII for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and get the Amazon exclusive Lockheed P80 Shooting Star jet fighter. A code to access the content will be emailed to you within two days of your order shipment. This offer will be extended to all pre-orders. Offer valid when shipped and sold by Amazon.com, while supplies last. Amazon reserves the right to change or terminate this promotion at any time. For more, be sure to check out our extensive coverage in the announcement piece for the game full of screenshots and trailers.

Both retailers are pegging DAMAGE INC. Pacific Squadron WWII for an August 28th release date in North America. Details for international release have not been specified at this time.

Hopefully this makes its way overseas, I really want a flight stick.

Jake2355 - I'll be buying Xbox One well after it's released. Not buying something that will inevitably have problems at launch.

I might get this.. Not particularly interested in the game, but for $49.99, a brand new game and a flight stick seems a good deal. I wonder if the flight stick counts as regular controller, for use in Halo and such?

Really angry that this isn't currently slated for release in the UK. Not just the version with the yoke, but period... can't find a listing for this game on any platform with any retailer over here, and normally someone will have it even before there's an announced date. Suggests to me we're just not getting it. Might be forced to import a PS3 copy from the US, as at least that will work on my console.

The stand-alone game is $50…

Might pick up the game later but don't really care for the stick.

Cool looking flight stick. I wonder how sensitive it is and durable for that matter - Mad Catz accessories have been hit and miss for me in the past.

That's a pretty sweet flight stick. Great offer and package in my opinion. Would rather spend my money on other games at the moment however. Plus...I need to save up for all the awesome releases this fall.

FYI...that is almost the exact flight stick from HAWX (AV8R- trigger and no toggle on top buttons are the only things I see different). It is a very good SAITEK controller, and I love the new color scheme. Very tempting, except that the last few flight games I played said very clearly on the box "this game does not support flight sticks" (Ace Combat AH packaging).

The only downside I have found with my controller is that even though it is not as big/ sturdy/ heavy/ MADE to be played on a table/ desk like the AC 2-part stick, it can be difficult to use in your lap due to the throttle lever being directly behind, and very close to the stick. Here is a link to a review of the AV8R stick, if you are interested...as you can easily see, almost exactly the same thing.

Assault Horizon doesn't support flight sticks because of the crappy helicopter segments. I don't support Assault Horizon because of the crappy helicopter segments too, so it works out okay. Namco seriously damaged Ace Combat with that game.
