Judging by the slew of comments on our recent announcement article and trailer
, one upcoming game that is getting a fair few of you rather excited isn't even a new game. In fact, it's a collection of two rather old classics and a more recent sequel. I'm talking, of course, about http://www.trueachievements.com/Doom-3-BFG-Edition-xbox....htm
We can now show you a few screens from the remastered version of Doom 3
, which will appear alongside http://www.trueachievements.com/DOOM-xbox-360.htm
and Doom II: Hell on Earth
. These screens focus on one of the main reasons the Doom
games are so memorable - the enemies.
Monster number one is all about the brains -- eating them that is. Not much of a talker, more of a moaner/groaner, the Zombie comes in a wide assortment of flavours to suit all tastes. From scientist to civilian, fat to fast, flaming to (if you're lucky) chainsaw-wielding: the choice is yours.
Monster number two has an impish sense of humour and sometimes likes to hide in dark corners or behind doors before jumping out and yelling "Surprise, I'm going to kill you!". The Imp will always be keeping an eye(s) out for you.
Monster number three likes moonlit floats on the beach. Don't get on the Cacodemon's bad side though, his plasma-firing bark is worse than his bite -- and his bite is deadly.
Monster number four is the dark, mysterious type but, if you let him get close enough, you'll soon discover that the Wraith can be an absolute scream.
Monster number five is a chivalrous fellow. He'll open the door for you, put his cloak down in a puddle to keep your feet dry and happily eviscerate you with his massive teeth and claws. If you like the muscular, toothy sort, the Hell Knight's for you.
Finally we can present a bonus monster from the Resurrection of Evil
pack included in this collection. Don't let his name fool you; Vulgar is actually a really sweet guy -- once you get past all the leaping and crawling and biting and tearing and..."Oh gosh, he's coming right for me".Doom 3: BFG Edition
is due to be released in the Fall of this year.
