Mass Effect 3 N7 Weekend For June 8th

Mass Effect 3 N7 Weekend For June 8th

Something different with Operation: Mastiff

Written by Mr J Muffin on 06 June 12 at 17:54

The next N7 Weekend for Mass Effect 3 is upon us. BioWare has been somewhat short in the variety of challenge objectives lately, what with it either consisting of promoting characters or surviving a match on Gold difficulty. This weekend's Operation: Mastiff, however, changes things up a bit.

Operation Mastiff

Allied Goal: Complete 100K retrieval missions.
Personal Goal: Extraction on Silver difficulty with one squad member of the Rebellion Pack classes: Vorcha, Phoenix Project Defectors, or Quarian Male.

The retrieval missions for the Allied Goal is the new "mission objective" that comes with the "Rebellion Pack" DLC.

Operation Mastiff will begin this Friday, June 8th at 6:00PM PST and run until Monday, June 11 at 4:00AM PST. As always, remember to set the “Upload Gameplay Feedback” setting to “On” in the online options to be able to participate in this N7 Operation.

I assume that means you need to be playing as the new class, not just have one in your team and have them extract? I haven't unlocked one yet, only opened a couple of packs since it came out. Guess I'll have to try and get one.

Um, is Bioware ever going to release any, you know, single-player content? Not even a different ending but a new party member or something? All their devotion to the crappy, in my opinion, multiplayer is nice and all, but something for us campaign guys would be nice.
There is no "I" in "team." There also isn't a "u," a "we," an "us," or a "them," so who's playing?

Something different, but still the same MP (which has gotten stale pretty fast). Thanks but no thanks.

WE NEED Single Player DLC with Achievements dam it! I haven’t picked up this game since I finished all of the achievements and beat it on insane. Please give me some reason besides Multiplayer to get back into this game otherwise it will remain on the shelf with the other ME's.

Finally an interesting MP weekend, and just in time for me to run out Gold.

And I know this is going to be said by every other person here, but what about some single-player DLC? The game sets you up nicely for more content. This free MP stuff is a great way to promote the game, but I bought it for the single-player experience. ME1 & 2 had some great content; ME3 should be even better.

even though shepard wiped them out in me2 id like to see them add the collectors as enemies and possibly the different merc groups, and the should add survival mode and maybe even some competitive modes as well

The fact that they tie the multiplayer into the story really hinders things. I'd love to be fighting Collectors, mercenary gangs and Shadow Broker forces because why not?
The MP got stale way too fast.

Like most gamers in the thread I've lost the motivation to continue with MP, it was only supposed to be added in ADDITION to the SP and I think EA will find this out very quickly. All the ME2 DLC had additional missions which could be played anytime during the (SP only) campaign, I'd love to see a repeat here in ME3 .E.g. take down another Reaper with Shepard, additional character recruitment, save star system from annihilation etc. Plenty of options EA!!

I couldn't care less about the ending, the story was always about the journey not the destination.

I'm sure they had a bunch of achievement heavy single player DLC planned, but all of that got derailed with as result of work on Extended Cut.
