| So this is apart of the update and free? If so, awesome! The alliance wars look like a great addition, too bad im not at lvl 40 yet, but once there it looks very cool |

| longest update ever 36 hours i cant wait for it to finish just hope this update starts bringing in some new players and great that all the free players can get all premium civs and boosters for free |

| I wouldn't say for free as all existing empire points are reset and converted to gold. Plus, god knows how long and how much it would cost to actually get them. |

| If I remember correctly the devs said in the post that currently existing empires points will be converated to gold on a 10:1 ratiio but that we each will receive a balance of 500 EPs. |

| Alliance Wars is something needed for the game. It should make it feel like an mmo a bit now. |

I feel like I got screwed out of a significantly better option by buying that Season Pass now.
Oh well, still a fun game. Probably if I played it more I wouldn't feel that way as much. |

Also, I couldn't find a way to earn EP apart from the Alliance Wars, which maybe troubling since you HAVE to be level 40 to play it, I did take a quick gander at the game though. |

| Some quests do still reward empire points. I have a few at level 17 in my quest log which have 4 ep reward. Still gonna take a while to get a premium, but might be easier as I get higher |

| After playing a few games I must add that with this update a lot of quests have become stupidly hard for casual players. |

| As a player who has spent over 400 hours in this game, I'm not sure I can bothered re-learning everything :/ This update has changed a lot, probably a great time to start though! |

This update has seriously screwed up the game. Given the AI a lot more strength and adaptability to the user, while an overhaul of the tech tree and severely weakened the user in my opinion.
No more star tech. I don't earn resources from my markets, no unit health regen without the advisor, amongst other things. |
