New Bandfuse Trailer Released

By Michelle Balsan, 4 years ago
Former Guns 'N Roses guitarist, Slash, is no stranger to aligning himself with game franchises. He did this previously with the once uber-successful Guitar Hero series, and now has thrown his image behind Realta Entertainment's Bandfuse: Rock Legends.

Of course, the purpose of putting a recognizable face to your product is to lend it some credibility, so Realta has now released a new trailer for the game showing us how it's accessible to players of all skill levels and will allow you to post updates from the game to various social networks. Also, for the eagle-eyed among you, the trailer contains information on a couple of the tracks coming to the title.

Bandfuse: Rock Legends, which like Rocksmith allows you to plug in and play your own guitar, is due out some time later this year. For further details on the game, check out our previous coverage right here.

Cool, I'll get Rocksmith when it comes to Europe and this. Maybe that way I'll stop being a lazy bastard and finally start to learn a few more things to play in my guitar.

Wonder if this will be any better than Rocksmith. As cool of an idea as it was, its dynamic difficulty switching kind of ruined it for me. Instead of actually churning through harder stuff and really learning, it kept jumping me back and forth between stuff I could and couldn't do mid-song.

It's hard to work through something when they keep taking it away from you.
Oh, they love us American boys.

That's one of the concerns I had when I read about it. I'm a decent guitar player, but I don't want to play a song well then have the difficulty spike.

Either way, I will play this and Rocksmith one day. Hell, how can I not take the opportunities to put two of my favorite hobbies together?!

#1 for music/ rhythm game completions!

Too bad this isn't Rocksmith 2 though, i will agree that Rocksmith was amazing, in the sense of tracking and recognition hitting notes/chords, but the game gets very boring very fast. The second one will most likely fix that and I'm looking ever so forward to it. As for RB3, never played it and never will... unless I can find instruments for cheap, then sign me up lol.

I enjoy both Rocksmith and Rock Band 3's Pro Mode. Hopefully this will have some additional diverse tracks. I paused at both track listings and noticed that Bandfuse already has songs from both RS and RB3, though. :(

One thing that is bothering me is: why does it have Rock Band's instrument icons?

Yeah that was my biggest complaint with Rocksmith. Even though I'm an expert player on the fake plastic guitars I don't know crap about real ones and picked up Rocksmith thinking it would teach me, but as you get comfortable with a section... BLAM lets throw something harder at you, instead of letting a player get comfortable with what they know then possibly build back up on other playthroughs.
