Looking for Rewards Based on Achievements?

Surely, many of you have heard of and in fact participate in the Xbox LIVE Rewards program. Through this initiative, you can earn Microsoft Points for doing things like taking surveys or renewing your membership, as well as participating in whatever monthly deal they have going.

When the program was initially launched, the terms stated (and they, in fact, still do state) it would go through June 30, 2012. Not only does it seem that the program will be extended beyond that date, but a recent tweet has revealed that achievements will somehow be attached to Xbox LIVE Rewards in the future. For those of you who can't access Twitter for whatever reason, here's the tweet:

We've hit 50,000 followers, which means it's time for an announcement! Coming Fall: a new way to earn Rewards based on your Achievements!
What this means exactly we won't know for sure for a while, but it's exciting to think that all those boosting sessions you've taken part in might actually pay off, isn't it?

Thanks to all the members of the community who sent this one in!

When not contributing to gaming websites, she makes her living as a mild-mannered librarian. She can be compelled to play just about anything if there's a co-op component, and has been playing games with friends and siblings since the Atari 2600. As it's reportedly healthy to have hobbies outside of gaming, she also roots for some of the most difficult sporting franchises to root for, the New York Mets and New York Jets, but offsets that by rooting for the New Jersey Devils. She's also seen pretty much none of the movies you have, but she's working on that.
