Written by SgtDigglesworth on 22 June 12 at 21:30

Those who love monkeying around can rejoice, because SEGA is bringing Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition to the Windows Phone 7. WPCentral recently dropped some of the goodies people can expect from their little friends, MeeMee, Baby, GonGon and AiAi.

Super Monkey Ball 2: Sakura Edition will feature all new 3D graphics, better controls and handling, as well as, 125 stages over six themed worlds. Mini-games will also be added to the mix from monkey bowling, monkey target, and monkey golf. WPCentral has managed a pair of screens too.

That aside, I think I might give this a try -- though the first didn't keep me interested to warrant a purchase, something gives me the feeling that I might like this one.

I wonder why it's three bucks...? The first one is being sold for $1 now.

I just hope it has slightly easier achievements. And better yet; no glitched ones.

The 125 stages and six themed worlds from the WPCentral article was in reference to this games WP7 predecessor.

Good, about time we get the good version.
The first one was terrible. Can't believe they wanted $5 for that P.O.S. at one point.

I can't speak for other sites, but this one gets about the same number of hits from North America as it does in Europe. I'd actually give NA a slight edge if I'm going to be honest.

Can we get Crowned Champion fixed as well? I have about 20 levels left to crown with no phone lock glitch. Completely doable but a total pain in the behind.

Great News, can't wait for this. Despite all the negativity on the first WP version, I thought id played great, achievements weren't overly hard, just basic completion cheevs. The only thing I missed from the Gamecube and Wii versions I played was the mini games, so good news to see them in now.

SMB2 is launching at the same price as the iOS version. SMB1 dropped to 99 cents because it's older and obviously nobody would buy it if it cost the same amount as part 2.

After all the joy with the first one I pretty much want this as much as a rash in my scrotum shock

If they've really made the handling better then perhaps one day, when I've completely forgotten the first one.
