The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Beckons the Dawnguard

The long-awaited first piece of DLC for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been released today in English speaking regions. Those in French, Italian, German and Spanish speaking regions will have to wait until mid-July, I'm afraid. The beta failed to throw up any major issues so the DLC was able to meet its due date. "Dawnguard" adds another ten achievements worth a total of 250G.

Dawnguard™ is the first official game add-on for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim® - the 2011 Game of the Year. The Vampire Lord Harkon has returned to power. By using the Elder Scrolls, he seeks to do the unthinkable - to end the sun itself. Will you join the ancient order of the Dawnguard and stop him? Or will you become a Vampire Lord yourself? Featuring an all new faction questline and locations, the ultimate choice will be yours.
One thing to bear in mind is that the DLC was released before Microsoft added the achievements to Anybody who earned an achievement before they were added to will find that they aren't being added to either your gamerscore or achievement tally. To solve this problem, players will need to recover their gamertag and re-earn the achievements.

Those of you who want a sneak peek at the DLC before deciding on a purchase should check out this trailer or these screenshots.

"The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Dawnguard" costs 1600 MSP and can be downloaded from here.
