Chickens Can't Fly Gets Patched

Amused Sloth's Chickens Can't Fly (WP) has just received a fairly major patch that adds quite a lot to the Windows Phone platformer. From new levels, to general tweaks, there's a lot to cover. Amused Sloth came up with some great images to cover big parts of the patch notes, so we're going to share those with you as well.

Let's start with the Aquarium Laboratory.



In the new level, you'll be treated to 14 new experiments and see new elements related to the new location, including squids and jellyfish.





In addition to the new levels included with the patch, PDLC is also introduced in the form of the Dojo Laboratory



The Dojo is a 'min-lab' consisting of ten experiments. It is, unsurprisingly, themed around ninjas and will grant you a ninja skin. Amused Sloth stated that due to Xbox LIVE restrictions, this DLC contains no extra achievements, but at least we have some screens of it for you:





If you don't want to get a new skin by buying into the PDLC, there are new skins included with the patch, including further DLC options.



Want to spice things up a bit? You can now change how you Chicken looks with the new Chicksie and Diver skins. More skins, such as Vampire, Alien and Knight are available as DLCNew skins are nice and all, but the whole world (in theory) can see your Avatar, so who wouldn't want these new awards that are live with the update?



Get the Chicken Helmet by obtaining the Gold medal in 15 experiments. If you already have 15 gold medals, this will unlock when you first start the game.
Get the Chicken Slippers by winning an Xbox LIVE Challenge against a friend.Win a match on Xbox LIVE, you see?Several updates have been made to that portion of the game as well.

Win challenges to rise in the Xbox LIVE Challenges LeaderboardsBut wait, there's even more! Here's a list of additional fixes and tweaks that the patch will bring:

Added rewards for finishing levels with more lives 10% bonus score for each life remaining at the end
Per popular request, we added a new ringtone with the main theme song
Re-balanced some difficult levels, and made them easier
Reduced the requirements for Gold medals in some levels that were almost impossible to get
Fixed performance/framerate issues in some Butchery and Physics levels
Made the ‘Hungry, hungry Chicken!’ achievement easier to get by humans
Music doesn’t loop anymore between re-starts of the same level, so even if you die quickly, you’ll get to hear all of it
Corrected translations
Streamlined the Trial and added a few ‘demo’ experiments from later laboratories
Squashed a few little bugsFinally, there is one other, major change that was made to Chickens Can't Fly. The game is now available for the low cost of 0.99. That's right. Not even on dollar.
