Dawn of War II Sale Priced On Steam Too

Weekend deal offers 75% off

This week’s GFWL Deal of the Week was nothing to scoff at with http://www.trueachievements.com/Dawn-of-War-II-xbox-360.htm for just $4.99/£4.99. Still though, we explored the notion of possibly getting the game and the expansion bundled together at nearly the same price or better elsewhere. You can add the Steam Store to the list now, as they are having a 75% sale on the entire Dawn of War series now until July 2nd. Listed here are the games that are compatible with Games for Windows LIVE and contain achievements.

Dawn at War II - $19.99/£19.99 $4.99/£4.99
Dawn at War II: Gold Edition - $29.99/£19.99 $7.49/£4.99

Steam Sale through July 2nd

The Gold Edition contains both Dawn of War II and the standalone expansion Dawn of War II: Chaos Rising. Compared to the Deal of the Week then, you can get the game plus the expansion for the same price in the UK and for just a few dollars more in the US.

A Dawn of War II: Complete Pack is also available for $14.99/£7.49 for those who are interested. This adds in the non-GFWL expansion Retribution. There’s even an option to gift parts of the Gold or Complete editions if you already own some of the components (see Steam Support for more details).

These offers are valid until Monday, 10am Pacific Time.

Yes...every game that is GFWL and on steam will give you achievements. If it is just GFW, then it will not. IE: Prototype is Games for Windows, but not LIVE. If the steam fine print says requires xbox live connection its got achievements.

Yes! I can finally pick up the expansion!

By the way, it should be pointed out that Chaos Rising is also on sale by itself for 5$ if you already own the core game.

I wasn't a fan of this game prefer the first.

(FYI)for those who don't know this is a tactical squad based RTS there is no real base building. u jsut really replenish units. I wish i was aware of this when i got all of DoW2 for $20 off amazon... oh well

Yeah, I'm in the same boat Chill. I was extremely disappointed with this game, the first one was one of the better RTS games I'd played since Starcraft. It's not too terrible for achievements and it's somewhat of a decent game in it's own right when things go your way. But when you're playing Primarch difficulty, things will NEVER go your way. It's very frustrating how unbelievably stupid your units can be.

Not achievement related but, if for some reason you've NOT got Dawn Of War 1, then go for the "Platinum" edition on Steam rather than the Gold one, as you get Dark Crusade thrown in for free. DOW Gold = £2.49, Dark Crusade on its own = £2.49, DOW Platinum = £2.49 - Soulstorm is £2.49 also but is not included in any bundles.

Also, Space Marine and all its current DLC is on sale too, though again, it's not GFWL enabled...
