Activision have announced Wipeout 3
for Kinect, the third installment in the Wipeout
games for Kinect based upon the popular TV series. Old obstacles such as the big balls and the sweeper shall be making a return, along with 12 new winter and summer courses with dozens of different obstacles appearing overall. The game will also feature split-screen multiplayer and team modes that will support up to four players.
New to this entry in the series is the Wipeout Shop, where players will be able to buy useful items that will enhance performance, as well as unlock characters and specially themed episodes.
Matt Kunitz, Wipeout's Creator and Executive Producer, had this to say:
Much of Wipeout's success has stemmed from the fact that people of all ages enjoy the show. We want to capture that essence with Wipeout 3 so that kids, parents and even grandparents can plunge into this easy-to-learn, zany game.Wipeout 3
is set to release sometime this Fall.
