Ghost Recon: Future Soldier Gets a Title Update

Players of TC's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier will have noticed that they were asked for a title update yesterday. This title update is one of many planned updates for the title and contained a fair amount of important fixes. Here is a list of the main changes included in the patch; this list is not all inclusive:

Matchmaking and Connection:
• Reduction in the peak bandwidth required;
• Improved tuning of host selection weighting;

Progression:
• Players should no longer experience a decrease in their character's displayed level;

Private/System Link Kit Storage:
• Player’s last used kit per character will now persist across matches and sessions;
(Note that this is ONLY your last used kit per character and is shared between Private and System Link matches);

Other:
• Added code which lets us remotely tune the number of rounds in the Siege Gametype;
• Double-Time bonus no longer lost on respec - Players who had previously lost the bonus should have it restored after applying the title update;
• Fix for infinite loading screen;
• Fixed a few infrequent crashes;
• Fixed multiple progression and map exploits.
Players will be prompted to download the patch when they next start up the game.

I still don't have the online pass for this. I would love to try out the multiplayer but i'm not paying for it. Does anyone have a code they don't want? I'd greatly appreciate it!

If you look at the new achievements, you can see that it is to eliminate the Other team or something like that... That might be it..

I love the MP for what it is right now. Capping objectives, using equipment and working together as a Team is what makes this game an outstanding MP experience. It is SO refreshingly different from any of today's shooters on the Xbox 360 simply because there is not a TDM mode in the MP playlist imo. Conflict, Saboteur, Decoy and Siege modes keep the MP chugging along just fine these days.

Team Deathmatch would cause Scouts to set up sniping positions at the end of the maps while Rifleman would be engaged in super huge fragfests in the middle. Engineers would be in real trouble as there would be no motivation to firefight and use equipment if the XP system rewards for K/D in a traditional TDM format. IMHO a TDM mode would be a complete train wreck for GRFS's MP. Where would the "teamwork" strategy fit in here if the most XP awarded in a match goes to the user with the best K/D ratio ?? There are plenty of other shooters to play if you want to be a lone wolf hero on the battlefield, GRFS will punish you with very low XP generation if this is how you approach this game.

Back on topic the TU is a great thing to see for the GRFS community. I have only a few issues with how the MP operates at this point in time so let's hope this is the fix we are looking for. smile

thank you, tdm is the last thing grfs needs. Its about teamwork not kills. That's what makes this such a great game, you get nowhere goin lone wolf.

heads up at least for me the game crashes now when i choose to continue my story. it acts like its loading but just a black screen. sat there five minutes and nothing. i could still exit to dashboard.

Not necessarily. It would keep the people who just want to kill, away from the people who actually know how the game is supposed to be played.

Account Settings

Xbox live settings will need to be set up in the following way to allow TrueAchievements to scan your gamertag.

1. Log into https://live.xbox.com

2. Click on My Account in the top toolbar.

3. Scroll down to Settings and Preferences on the right hand side. Click on Privacy and Online Settings.

4. Scroll down to Privacy. You need to make sure that Profile Sharing and Game History is set to Everyone otherwise you will not be scanned.

These simple steps will allow TrueAchievements to scan your profile and update your achievements.
