| I like how Sega it doing so many polished remakes of old games I wish Rare would take note and go back to releasing remakes of their old great games. |

Nintendo may own the right to some, or all their SNES and NES games too.
They can remake Conker, Banjo and Perfect Dark...But they already re-released Banjo + a new + 2 * PD games.
As far as i found out, Rare/MS owns the rights to Killer Instinct, but Nintendo owns the rights to release it on any console.
Nintendo also owns publishing rights for several other Rare games, which is probably why they are only making Kinect games nowadays since they cant remake games they cant release. |

The sad news is that it looks like SEGA can't make any EPIC games anymore. Games that will matter ten years after its release. So they have to re-release their old stuff over and over...
Good news is that even having a cousin with a Deamcast I hardly ever touched it, so it might be a good time to check out old gems I missed (including saturn's).
On the other hand, I remember how much I loved Crazy taxi back at the day butthe demo for its HD release dissapointed me to death, it felt like those games doesn't hold their charm/gameplay to nowaday's standards anymore. Maybe the industry made our ( my) tastes grew in ways that differ the ones from our (my) childhood...
EDIT: ...and what RARE really have to do is to wake up from their slumber and work in some new IP ASAP. They were good at doing that. Then started the avatard stuff... |
