New Grand Theft Auto V Screenshots

There's TWO of them!

Rockstar has been pretty quiet about Grand Theft Auto V for quite a while now. In fact, we haven't heard anything about the fifth entry in their iconic franchise since the announcement trailer back in November.

That has changed today with Rockstar's regular "Asked and Answered" column. In this most-recent post, Rockstar has treated gamers to two new screens as well as the following statement commenting on the scarcity of news, screens, and trailers:

As we have said before, we have often had long gaps between asset releases on previous games and will continue to do so in the future. We are sorry if you find this frustrating, but please understand, we don't do this because we ‘don't care about our fans' 'don't respect our fans' 'hate GTA fans etc' – precisely the opposite! We do it because we want to make sure we only release 100% correct information, and because we want to keep plenty back for the actual game release so there are still lots of surprises when you play it. The only things we care about are that you enjoy the experience of actually playing the game and that we release accurate information. We just have not been in a position to show more of the game than the trailer and will not be for a while yet. We did, however, manage to sneak a quick screenshot out for you… it's not much, but we thought it was pretty fun.Who doesn't love perfectionism, right?

Grand Theft Auto V will be released when it's finished. Which is to say it doesn't have a release date.

Looks like a culdcept saga remake, maybe if there was a 3rd person twim stick shooter taking place in africa or greenland or something idk towns are boring now

Those two screens look great! The draw distance in the second is quite far when you look at the large version on Rockstar's site, looking to be almost ridiculous in the size of the city alone. The reflections on the first are beautiful, and the quality looks immense. Yeah, they probably were taken on a PC, but it is looking great regardless. Cannot wait for it!

Sweet, you keep quiet Rockstar! I hate it when games and films reveal a lot of the good bits in the trailer. I want to know as little as possile and experience it all for myself! Nice shots though, keep us hungry for more!

People complain of the lack of information, but every great comany does that with its best game. R* with GTA, Valve with Half-Life, Nintendo with Zelda, even Microsoft didn't say a lot about Halo 4 yet.
And everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclisped by the moon...
