The sequel to Need For Speed: Most Wanted has changed developers and amped up the RPMs with a new addition to the EA racing family, Need For Speed Most Wanted. Thus far, we have covered a couple of trailers and the surprising announcement that caused quite a bit of confusion due to the game's title.

EA and Criterion recently announced their pre-order details and released some information regarding what you can expect with this year's installment. When you pre-order Need For Speed Most Wanted you will receive the Limited Edition of the game, which will give you:

Multiplayer bonuses:
Four hours of Double Speed Points: Players earn double speed points throughout the first four hours of multiplayer
2012 Porsche 911 Carerra S: Optimized Aerodynamic Body that reduces drag for maximum speed and Nitrous Burn, delivering efficient and sustained speed boosts
Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale: A Race Pack Powertrain tuned for increased power and the impact protection modification to provide increased stability and strength when driving at breakneck speeds
If you pre-order from Origin and select retailers, you will also receive Need For Speed Most Wanted packs that will grant you early access to certain vehicles. Shall we take a look?

Also released were some key features to the game that are familiar, enhanced, or new to the series. Check it out:

Race without Rules. The only rule in Most Wanted is to race without rules. There’s a start and a finish to every race – but how the player races, where and when they choose to compete, and the skills they choose to compete with – are all up to the player.
Freedom in an Open World. From the moment the game starts, the entire world is open and ready to explore as gamers race to become the Most Wanted. The exciting open world gives players the freedom to explore more than just the road; drive above street level and jump in, out or over other building and objects. The world opens up and challenges players to test their racing skills, awareness of the terrain, knowledge of the world and mastery of weapons to take down their rivals.
Epic Cop Chases at the Heart of the Competition. As soon as a player is spotted speeding, crashing or driving dangerously anywhere in Fairhaven City, cops are alerted and the heat is on! Heat on the player will increase the longer a chase continues, escalating faster if the player disables or destroys police vehicles.
Competition Anytime, Anywhere. With Autolog 2, the next evolution of the ground-breaking, friend-connecting Autolog technology, players can once again recommend gameplay challenges across a their social network, but this time within both single player and multiplayer gameplay. Everything the player does earns Speed Points that will take them up the Most Wanted list – from competing for best race times and racing for the highest scores in a pursuit, to grabbing the fastest time and more. Autolog powers the player’s way to the top by automatically populating the map with challenges, helping locate friends in-game, and tracking progress and accomplishments – both offline and online. If there’s something to do, there’s someone to beat.
Continuous Multiplayer Action. No menus. No lobbies. No restrictions. Most Wanted introduces a new style of nonstop multiplayer action that continually serves up rewards and challenges so gamers are constantly one-upping their friends. Whether it’s competing for the best starting position, the ultimate jump, or finishing first place, with the introduction of the new PlayList system, Most Wanted serves up constant gameplay and robust challenges to ensure fun, friendly, non-stop competition.
Put the key in the ignition and start-up your engines folks because Need For Speed Most Wanted will be racing to store shelves on October 30th.

I started the first instalment recently and I can't see what the fuss was about. It's definetely not the best NFS game anyway. Albeit I am 7 years late on the title but that's not too relevant in my opinion. It's quite easy, hardest part is trying to keep the police following you to earn bounty/damage and then all of a sudden you're surrounded by 10, no in between. Sort that out and it might be half decent.

That Benz and Raptor look pretty fucking sweet! The game looks interesting, and Most Wanted was one of the NFS games I actually liked, looking forward to seeing more about it but not sure if I will buy it yet.

It's a cheap move. Most Wanted (somehow) is probably game with best reputation among the series. They want to use it. They could create their own brand, like Slightly Mad Studios did.

This gonna be sick! Burnout Paradise and Most Wanted one of the best racing games ever made, and this one like the child born from them, so cannot wait! And i'm really starved for good racing game, cause Dirt Showdown and Ridge Racer was disgusting, finally a sweet AAA racing game in this year!

You guys do know the name does not matter. They could name it spiderman racing and have the right content and it would not matter it would still be the same game. So yeah its most wanted again but its a new game new place new developer. People get so hung up on sequels and reboots but none of that matters. It should always come down to content nothing more nothing less.

It seams that publishers are announcing pre-order bonuses without attached retailers lately (Wasn't Forza devoid of retailers)...

The official website says that Speed pack is GameStop (listed on there site), Power & Strike are Walmart (not listed on theres) If you get it through Origin for PC you get all 3.

Yeah neon lights and all that stuff you could do to your car it was awesome. This just looks like Burnout, most wanted had customisation and there was more than epic cop chases to the game.

Obligatory stupid pre-order bonuses, couldn't care less about Autolog, plus as an EA game it's guaranteed to have 6 different DLCs, 800 MSP each that add 45 gamerscore each ... nothing is interesting to me yet. I'll keep an open mind but I have a feeling they're just slapping the name on there, and it won't be nearly as good as the real Most Wanted. I only played the demo for Hot Pursuit, but the handling was garbage so I didn't bother getting the full version.
