Not sure how I feel about this.
On the one hand, I think I would enjoy the nostalgia. I'm not much of a skater but I spent oodles of time growing up with Tony Hawk 1, 2 and 3... so this could be right up my alley.
On the other, I don't like the 1200msp price tag. I could likely get one of the Skate games for that amount and it's probably higher budget and "more bang for your buck" in the end then this HD rehash.
I'll keep my eye on this. |

| I'm enjoying it, much nostalgia; though I'd experienced that recently in it's rawest form as I'd bought THPS2 for the PSone from eBay specifically for preperation for this Arcade game. I'm disappointed, however, at the lack of split screen multiplayer, no character creation tool, and no level editor. The new songs selected for the soundtrack aren't currently Too impressive but hopefully they'll grow on me over time. The game is currently a little too glitchy to be classed as a version 1.0; I created an online match, a 2 minute score attack. The timer reached 0, my opponent just Disappeared from the map, and I found myself alone in a void; racking up points. Got to about 500,000 and decided to Exit Game, which of course, essentially counted as a loss. Certainly wasn't a Win as I didn't get the achievement. |

IT! IS! MINE! but, I hope the HD redux doesnt have the Mortal Kombat 4 result where after they made the characters out of polygons instead of the prior MKs the controls were horribly sluggish and felt completely different. If a game is going to be remade and looks pretty thats great, but I want it to FEEL the same. Street Fighter did a GREAT job with this, looks beautiful but plays just as fast as the old cartoony ones.
I spent years of my life in MK3 and UMK3, but only an hour or so on MK4 :( |

I couldnt believe they wouldnt even give you 2 minutes. Very unappealing, that helped me make a decision. I can wait till its cheaper. Plus I've been wanting to start The Walking Dead episodes. |

Forgot there was a trial.
Maybe it's just been too long since I've played a classic THPS game, but something felt kind of off. Almost like the animations have somehow gotten worse (though obviously the graphics as a whole are better). Other than the hint of nostalgia, I don't see much reason to get this. At least not at that price.
I'd say one of the Skate games is probably more worth the $15. Kind of in the mood to get Skate 2 now actually lol. |

| SO glitchy! Not impressed at all.. it feels like it lags or something as you try and do tricks, doesnt feel like THPS to me at all! Great music though. |

| actually thought i was going to enjoy this alot more than i did, sketchy gameplay, and the fact that i forgot (untill i played it) that the early versions of the game didnt include revert combos, leveling out an manual/grind tricks. :( gud tunes tho. |

| I bought this today full of excitement, boy was I in for an epic let down. For anyone who hasn't go this yet goolge a few reviews .... not the ign one, and believe the 4/10 scores. It's not good.... not good at all. Wish I had my points back now :( |
