The Free Summer of Arcade Minecraft Skins Are Here

Get the skinny on all the free skins and where to find them

The Summer or Arcade is underway, beginning with yesterday’s release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD. Microsoft is celebrating with a bit of cross-promotion, which includes some free skins for Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition.

SOA Pack


The pack includes 15 skins in all spanning the five Summer of Arcade releases: Wreckateer, Deadlight, Hybrid, Dust: An Elysian Tail, and the aforementioned Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD.

To download, you’ll have to find the Summer of Arcade hub on your dashboard either on your Home or Games page. From there, select the ‘Minecraft Offer’ in the bottom right hand portion of the pictured briefcase, and then select ‘Get the Skin Pack’.

The download seems to be working without a hitch in the U.S., but word has it that the download hasn’t reached worldwide quite yet, but should be arriving shortly. You can afford to be patient, as you’ll have the entire duration of the Summer of Arcade promotion to download the pack.

How many articles does a set of skins need? Will there ever be something new and exciting happening in Minecraft or has the developer got none of the most vital ingredient required in Minecraft; Imagination?

Account Settings

Xbox live settings will need to be set up in the following way to allow TrueAchievements to scan your gamertag.

1. Log into https://live.xbox.com

2. Click on My Account in the top toolbar.

3. Scroll down to Settings and Preferences on the right hand side. Click on Privacy and Online Settings.

4. Scroll down to Privacy. You need to make sure that Profile Sharing and Game History is set to Everyone otherwise you will not be scanned.

These simple steps will allow TrueAchievements to scan your profile and update your achievements.
