UK Deal Roundup for July 24th, 2012

The best of the UK prices

Written by punkyliar on 24 July 12 at 05:34

Before we begin, I must apologise for the lack of a deals article last week. Due to a general cable fault, I had no internet at home and was unable to get last week’s article done. Nobody else could take it on at such short notice. However, things have returned to normal, or at least have somewhat returned to normal for this is my last week writing the UK Deals articles. When I started the article 15 months ago, I had much more time to devote to finding deals than I do now. It has got to the point where I feel that I’m no longer able to do the article justice, so I’m passing on the baton to http://www.trueachievements.com/kbg27.htm. Don’t panic, there will be a sales article as usual next week.

Now, we move on to the usual order of business. This week we see substantial new sales at Play, Sainsburys, Tesco and TheHut, while Amazon reignites a long running sale with a fresh list of games. Amazon, ASDA, HMV, TheHut and Zavvi start smaller promotions, while Zavvi also continues their random promotions. Shopto and TheHut have weekly offers. As usual you need to click on the name of the retailer or the name of the deal to be taken straight to the retailer’s offer page. Clicking on the name of a game will take you to the achievement list. All prices were correct at the time of writing.

Starting off the new and weekly offers of this period is Amazon, who are offering three Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure figures for the price of two. The figures range from £6.99 to £9.99 each. This offer ends Thursday so don’t wait too long to take advantage.

The site has also finally updated their bargains. Their PC bargains offer Dead Rising 2: Off The Record (PC) for £7.99 and Vancouver 2010 (PC) for £2.94. Meanwhile, their Xbox 360 list is comparatively huge compared to the two games that have been there for past few months. Most of their titles are supplied by third parties; these have been left off the list. Those listed below are supplied directly from Amazon, but prices are subject to change:

I think to be honest the uk deals don't change enough to FORCE weekly articles.
It seems the last few months the sales have been pretty much the same week in week out with maybe a single retailer adding a few games or doing a so called new promotion.
Which normally is the same games just under a different sale name.
Still thanks for taking the time to do this..

I picked up Dirt Showdown when it was only£14.99 for some reason the next day it went up to £17.86

Test Drive 2 for £ 14.98 is a hot deal ? I paid that much back in august 2011

Most of the deal submissions that have been put up over the last few weeks , the deals you have posted have been cheaper before and after posting.

If your not going to post the cheapest price why bother posting ??
